“We have all known the long loneliness and we have learned that the only solution is love and that love comes with community.”

The Village Community

Parents and families living with ND kids can feel very isolated, but there are thousands of families living similar lives.

Over time, we get to understand our kids, their needs and how we need to adjust our expectations and our family routines. It takes a while to work these things out (like all complex, changing things), and for many families, the networks you used to have are not always able to understand, support or accomodate your new family dynamic.

We know how resourceful, creative and persistent our families become and how much it helps to hear about each others’ experiences along the way. We have created a place to find each other, to share ideas, successes, failures and support.

We’ve created and online network and a podcast to share with our community. We cover topics such as school challenges, sibling and family dynamics, gender identity and more.

When we come together to share and support, it’s a game-changer.

The Village Network

The Village Network is an online community group. Just like a Facebook Page, but better.

This platform allows Villagers to find information on topics relevant to your current lives.

You can find resources shared by super researchers, you can share what you have found. You can ask questions and find people facing similar challenges.

It’s a safe, friendly, positive space for community and support. It’s a virtual Village!

The Village Podcast

Our very own Village Podcast, where we share conversations, interviews and truth-telling stories about the reality of parenting ND kids.

Our mission is to build community and connection for the growing number of families like ours’ And also to awareness, understanding and love for anyone wanting to support us.
